How to create a spindle
A spindle is something that is used to make thread. It is a simple device that has a rod that is placed through a round stopper placed a few inches from the bottom of the rod. At the bottom of the rod, there is a hook.
To make a spindle, follow these steps;
- Take a dowel or rod that is around a ¼ inch in diameter.
- Use a flat round object, and insert it in the base of the rod or dowel.
- Insert a small hook at the base. It is best to use a threaded screw, but you just want something that you can put tension on, that won’t pull out of the bottom of the spindle.
