Make Vegetable Oil From Nuts
Most vegetable oils are made with nuts, but there are exceptions to this. Predominantly, the easiest way to create vegetable oil is from nuts and seeds. Almonds, sunflower seeds, canola seeds, chia seeds, hemp seeds, pumpkin seeds, and a lot of other seeds and nuts can be made into oil. If you have a hand oil press, you can dry the nuts out, leave them out in the sun for a day, or roast them slightly. From there, you just feed them into the press. You will want to filter the oil that is produced, but not everyone reading this will have or have access to a hand press.

Steps to make oil
- Grind the nuts down to a powder.
- Add a little bit of water and mix the seeds up. You want to have something like an oily dough consistency.
- Place the ball on a metal strainer, or suspend the ball in a cheesecloth on something hard, over a bowl.
- Place a weight over the mixture and leave it overnight.
- Run the oil extracted through a cheesecloth to filter out anything that isn’t oil.
