What do You Need to Create Miso Paste

To make miso paste, you will need

  • soybeans
  • koji
  • salt
  • large pot
  • strainer
  • blender, mixer or mortar and pestle

Steps to Create Miso Paste

  1. Boil the soybeans until they are soft
  2. Mash them while still hot
  3. Mix the mashed soybeans with koji and salt
  4. Form into small balls and leave them to ferment in a warm place for a few days.
